I am walking for many years as a partner with ceramics, we have got good seasons, some others we distance ourselves, just the same as with the love. I need it because she reminds me that I exist and that my feet are touching ground. When I drive with the mud by the path that is between my hands and my heart, something happens .....

PEPA BENAVENT - 1956, Tiana (Barcelona).


1980 - Comienza sus estudios en la “Escola de Ceràmica de La Bisbal” cursando perfeccionamiento de torno, esmaltes a la sal, construcción de hornos catenarios, atmosferas reductoras i trabajos en porcelana. A partir de ese momento se dedica exclusivamente a la cerámica en su taller de Montgat (Barcelona) investigando con las formas y los esmaltes, y hace sus primeros trabajos de restauración de cerámica antigua.


1982-83 - Entra en la “Escola d’Arts i Oficis de La Llotja”, (actualmente Escola Superior de Disseny i Art Llotja), para estudiar Escultura y Modelaje. Simultáneamente abre una tienda en Calella de Palafrugell (Girona) dedicada a la cerámica popular de toda la península, y también a obra propia.



1984-87 - El interés por los diferentes estilos, despertado gracias a la tienda, hace que se dedique a recorrer las alfarerías de la península viviendo y experimentando con los alfareros más reconocidos de Galicia, Salamanca, Andalucía y Portugal.


1985 - Participa en varias exposiciones colectivas: Palamós, Martorell, Badalona, Tiana, Quart, Begur, Torroella de Montgrí, Pals.... También imparte cursos para colectivos de maestros en las escuelas de Montgat (Formación para talleres de Plástica).
